Take your Mat Pilates training to a heightened experience by gaining the knowledge on furthering the development of your body’s awareness along with breath - two very key components In Pilates training— and very different from pure strength training. Pilates focuses on the deeper muscles that assist us in everyday movement patterns such as sitting, standing, and walking. In a class setting, the pace is set and not halted in order to sustain a flow. In Pilates with Props, participants will make use of apparatuses as well as receive individual assessments in their bodies’ position and alignment. By bringing individual attention to each individual’s particular needs, one will not only improve their posture and overall strength potential in every other movement of their life, but they will see more dramatic results sooner. 60 minutes
Pilates with Props will include using resistance bands, rings and ball work to assist in :
- Enhance your mind awareness with your body to help focus, concentrate and center yourself to create a longer, leaner and more streamlined physique;
- Lengthen major muscles & enhance joint mobility;
- Challenge stabilizing muscles around the core and spine
- Develop postural alignment;
- Heighten motor skills & enhance neuromuscular coordination.
Tuesdays at 8am in the Mind & Body Studio or Fridays at 6:30am in Studio 2.
For serious female athletes who are looking to compete at the collegiate level... training begins now! Build strength and power through explosive training. Improve your agility and reaction time through plyometrics for sport-specific muscle activation. Reduce your likelihood of an ACL injury commonly experienced in teen female athletes. If you want to be competitive, you need the right tools and work ethic… we can train both. 60 minutes

For those looking to intensify their workout beyond Momentum’s Total Tone class and are seeking greater personal direction and motivation to push their capabilities as they would receive from an experienced personal trainer, this training program is for you. Total Conditioning will provide the same motivation you feel when working in a group environment with a specific focus on overall muscle conditioning through circuit training and muscular endurance-based activities designed to tone, define and burn calories. Totally a great workout! 60 minutes

Experienced Yogis, deepen your practice with our Yoga Advanced Group Training sessions. This advanced yoga program provides you with more challenging postures; hands-on assistance and specific adjustments; dynamic power options; and personalized attention so you will gain the confidence to push your body and mind to the next level. This 75-minute training session starts with 60 minutes of body work followed by 15 minutes of pranayama breathwork and meditation with your individual goals in mind. Explore some of the different styles of yoga including Kundalini yoga and the Ashtanga primary series. 75 minutes

Heart Zones© training teaches you to use the most important muscle in your body...your heart, as well as your own personal biofeedback data... your heartbeat, to exercise with a system and a plan to train smarter, more efficiently and more effectively. Whether your goal is weight loss, improved health, optimum fitness, or increased performance, Heart Zones© training is a personalized training program to help you achieve your individual goals. Indoor bikes will be used initially but other modes of cardio will be incorporated as the program progresses. A heartrate monitor is required for participation. 60 minutes

At-ten-tion! Ten-hut! Line-up, gear up and get ready for an outdoor adventure in training. “Mind & Body Bootcamp” is our basic training program which blends traditional military protocol and exercise with functional movements. Your cardiovascular conditioning will be tested; your strength will be pushed; and your results will be achieved. Your mission, should you choose to accept the challenge, is to leave with a healthier body, a higher level of discipline and the espirit de corps from your “platoon-like” interaction.
