TRX Training has arrived at Momentum!
TRX Training will give you an edge over a pure protocol of conventional strength training because every TRX exercise builds true functional strength while at the same time improves flexibility, balance, coordination, power, endurance and core stability. In the simplest form, Suspension training refers to the broad collection of unique bodyweight exercise movements and program principles that loads the ideal percentage of body weight into a targeted zone yet requires the entire body to function as one unit. Making use of both gravity and movement generated by the body’s neuromuscular responses to change the body’s position and mechanical advantage, produces an effect that cannot be duplicated by traditional methods of training. And while elite units in the Armed Forces are making use of the TRX Training as well as professional athletes in all the major sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc), even seniors can use the TRX as a solution to improve overall body movement and reduce their risks of falling. Physical therapists are also using the TRX to rehabilitate patients in hospital wellness centers, sports medicine clinics and chiropractic offices. Age, fitness level and ability do not play a role in one’s success with the program as all exercises are easily modified to fit and challenge each individual participant at their own level. But until you experience it, you’ll never know what your body has been missing. Sign-up for a demo today at the Member Services Desk or call 737-6362 to schedule!
What is TRX Suspension Training?

Developed by a Navy SEAL using only what he had accessible to him—parachute materials and boating repair tools, the first TRX strap was created. The SEAL’s goal was to remain in peak physical condition when on missions and found himself extremely limited in training space and any access to fitness equipment. He and his Navy SEAL teammates soon realized the multitude of challenging exercises using their own body weight as resistance that gave them an edge over their typical routine when training at home. Yet the TRX can condition not only the elite Armed Forces but is also now being used by physical therapists, in senior wellness facilities and many top health clubs around the country. Momentum is proud to offer a top-notch, world-renowned training program that will improve your body’s strength, stamina, balance, coordination, flexibility and most definitely core. Choose from 3 tracks-- Fitness, Pilates or TRX Alternative as an option for those with Arthritis, Fibromyalgia Low Back Pain or Knee Issues.
